CESKY FOUSEK

The Cesky Fousek is closely related to both the Drahthaar and the Stichelhaar, whom he resembles. The breed was very popular in the area of Bohemia between the mid-1800s and World War I but was almost lost during that war. He was revived in the 1930s, by using some German Sh-orthaired Pointer blood.
The tail is shortened to two-fifths of its full length. This pointer's rough coat is fairly long on underside and chest, beard and brows. He is described as an aristocratic and noble dog with good abilities. Today, Czechs say he is widespread and frequently hunted in their country.
