The first units were presented/displayed in 1957 and, a year later, the criadores saw crowned their efforts with the official recognition of the three varieties.
More, than of three different races (like in addition the International is recognized by the Cinológica Federation) it is possible to be spoken, without doubt, of three varieties that are different almost exclusively by the color of the layer. The French Dog is of quite great size and in the males it arrives at the 72 cm. from raised to the cross and a weight that is around the 35 kg. This robust structure of perfect balance and remarkable muscular tone (inherited, without a doubt of the English Foxhound), assure a great resistance and galope to him elastic and long, indispensable for the hunting of the red deer, gamo and corzo that is animal very agile and quick.
In these three varieties, the head is long, imposing and harmonious with respect to the rest of the body, with a black and abierta good truffle, stop moderately marked, eyes of a shining brown color with enduring expression and letter. The ears are of quite high birth, it takes them to the dog hanging and surpass in length the union of the neck that appears length and fort, sometimes, with small papada. The trunk has a thorax of good development that allows to the dog an optimal oxygenation him and therefore, resistance. The line superior is solid and the lumbar region of great power.
The extremities are robust, well muscular, in correct seriousness, with feet slightly extended. The relatively heavy tail in the base, is taken over the line of the back. The layer is of smooth, strong and closed hair. The colors that differentiate to the three types are: black and white for first with a beautiful drawing of chair mounting and some black or bluish splash; tricolor (white, black and leonado clearly) with intense spots fire for the second; and finally the third party, orange target and.
