Miniature Siberian Husky

Miniature Siberian Husky

Quite a lot of people tend to believe that there is no such thing as the miniature Siberian husky. This is mainly because these dogs are extremely rare and there is no much information about the miniature Siberian huskies out there in the net. As the name suggest, these dogs originate from Siberia. They are quite like the normal Siberian huskies, but gain as the name suggest, only smaller in size with a little differences here and there. These dogs should not be confused with the Alaskan Klee kai, even though they look very similar to each other. These dogs, as commonly believed, are not the result of a cross between any dogs, but neither are these dogs a breed on their own, technically, they are just normal Siberian huskies that were bred to be smaller in size.

These dogs grew smaller because of some genetic mutation in the original large once. The people continued to encourage the change because this way they would still get a Siberian husky with all its positive qualities but only in a smaller size making them easier to groom and take care of. These dogs were first bred for the purpose of being sled dogs. They have extraordinary stamina. Generally all puppies of any dogs are cute; however, the puppies of the miniature Siberian huskies are the cutest of all. These dogs are very loving as well as affectionate dogs. They are also known to be very friendly dogs.

They have the tendency to develop a very deep and special bond with their owners. They are also very social dogs. These dogs enjoy being around humans and other dogs as well. They have a very high level of intelligence. This can be proven by the fact that they are very easily trainable to be wonderful sled dogs. They are generally very calm natured dogs and do not go and pick fights, however, if attacked they become very aggressive and defend themselves with everything they have. These dogs are best suited for the cold weather and the winter climate. Thus, to protect them from these extreme cold conditions, they have an extremely thick coat and tend to shed at least once or twice a year. During shedding they lose a lot of hair.

These dogs are very smart and have a mind of their own. They may sometimes deliberately try to outwit their owners. They love to run and running is their biggest desire of all. Running is the main reason they were bred and this is what they know best. If these dogs are given nothing got do all day and are also given no exercise what so ever, then they build up all their energy and when this happens they are very uncontrollable. They should never be allowed to run loose unless they are accompanied by someone, however, this doesn’t mean that they should not be given any exercise. These dogs also have the tendency to chase rats, squirrels, hamsters or for that matter any small animal that runs, either indoors or outdoors.
