Volpino Italiano Dog

This is a spitz-type of a dog. These types of dogs were found for a long time bow, they existed throughout the entire ancient world. This dog has been immensely loved by all the Italians. These dogs are loved even more by the ladies. They have a lot of similarities with the other breed of dog, that is, the Pomeranian, especially when it comes to its appearance. From the name of the dog it is quite obvious that the dogs have originated from the country of Italy. In its native language, its name translates to mean a little fox. Even in the country of Italy, which is its native land, the dog is quite rare in nature. Even though the dog is quite small in size, they are used for the purpose of being a watch dog or for the purpose of being a guard dog. Its job was not to go and attack the intruder, which it could not due to its small size.

Its job was just to alert all the mastiffs if there were any intruders, and the mastiffs being large enough would attack these intruders. The dogs of this breed have a very good temperament and also they have a very high level of intelligence. It was due to qualities like this that these dogs soon gained a lot of popularity as a pet dog or a companion dog. However, even though its popularity did increase, the numbers of the dogs of this breed decrease to a dangerously low level by the year of 1965. Some of the very sought after traits of the dog are its lively nature and its playfulness. These dogs have the tendency to sometimes get quite stubborn in nature. They make great watch dogs and also they are very vigilant in nature.

These dogs have been bred by mall the variety of people, from the princes to the farmers. The dogs of this breed are very adjustable. They are very comfortable doing both things, that is guarding the flock on the farm and also just lying around in couch and doing nothing all day. These dogs also have the tendency to get a little protective of its family. The dogs of this breed are always on the alert and as soon as they sense something suspicious, they let everyone known by barking. That is what these dogs are trained to do, not to go tackle the problem themselves but let their owners known even when there is a slight suspicion.
